Advanced Only

This is for ADVANCED Scrapbookers Only.  I say this because scrapbooking CAN be an expensive hobby. These are tools that are nice to have, but not REQUIRED to have a great book. I have them and use them all the time, BUT keep in mind that

#1, I do a LOT of scrapbooking and other paper crafting (cards, invitations, announcements, etc), and

#2, I’ve collected them over a period of time (probably longer than some of you reading this were born) LOL

So, what are my favorites?

cricut mickey

Cricut Cartridges

– My Cricut machine. My kids bought this for me (I think it was a bribe) and I LOVE it. The cartridges are expensive but go on sale. There are some that I can’t find in my local store. If they’re older ones, you might be able to get them on E-bay or purchase them at Amazon.  Amazon is  more reasonable than going to Cricut directly.  Mix and match cartridges with other scrapbookers. There’s a couple of us that borrow back and forth.  This is a sample from the Disney cartridge.   I could have cut this by hand but who has the time?  Cricut saved my day.

Punches

– I use my edge cutters and punches a LOT. They give me a nice decorative design for a border on a page or within a frame on a page.  Again, these can be purchased through your local hobby store.  They have a nice variety or Amazon is where I get some that I can’t find around me.

Stamps

Wooden Stamps

Stamps.  At first, I didn’t like or use stamps, but over time, I saw that I could put a simple design on a page that just completes it without taking away from the photo.   I buy these when they are 40% off at my local hobby store or if it’s a design that I really like (and is different), I will buy it at full price.  Simon Says Stamps have a bunch of designs that you can’t find elsewhere.

These are some of my favorites, but check around for the best prices and if you really want to feel like a kid in a candy store, check out www.scrapbook.com

  1. Admiring the hard work you put into your site and detailed information you offer. It’s good to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same unwanted rehashed material. Wonderful read! I’ve bookmarked your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google account. kfaadadbefcgaggk

  2. I have not checked in here for a while since I thought it was getting boring, but the last few posts are good quality so I guess I’ll add you back to my daily bloglist. You deserve it my friend dadgdadeckac
